Uniting forces
ZOA strives for co-operation and consultation with similar organisations, both in the Netherlands and abroad. Co-operation enhances the quality of aid, and the effective and efficient dedication of people and use of money. An important condition is that the co-operation will not be at the expense of the Christian identity. We co-operate with similar organisations in the execution of projects and in emergency relief, fundraising and sharing knowledge.
- ZOA regularly executes projects in co-operation with UN-bodies like UNHCR and World Food Programme. ZOA is also member of EU-CORD. EU-CORD is a platform where European Christian organisations work together on mutual interests like policy issues in Brussels regarding development.
- In the field ZOA maintains contacts with local and international partnerorganisations. ZOA strives for co-operation with these organisations, whenever possible.
- In 2000 ZOA signed a co-operation agreement with the English organisation CORD(Christian Organisation Relief and Development). ZOA and CORD work together in several countries, such as Afghanistan and Albania.
- ZOA frequently works together with Red een Kind, Woord & Daad and TEAR, especially in (fundraising for) emergency relief programmes.
- PRISMA is a platform for Christian organisations in the Netherlands. Through this platform ZOA maintains important contacts with ICCO. ICCO is a Dutch interdenominational organisation for development.
- ZOA is a member of Partos, an umbrella organisation for Dutch NGO´s active in international cooperation.
- Fundraising for projects is done in accordance with standards that are accepted and adhered in the fundraising sector. ZOA is a member of VFI, an umbrella organisation for fundraising in The Netherlands. ZOA meets their standards. ZOA also carries the hallmark from CBF.
